Gwanghwamun Plaza, which was remodeled opened to the public on August 1, 2009, is the center of Seoul, which has 600 years of history, and has transformed from a car-centered street into a human-centered space.
It is a space to view beautiful natural sights such as Gyeongbok Palace and Bukaksan Mountain.
It has been reborn as a historical and cultural experience space through the restoration of Yukjo Street, an old look of Sejong-ro.

In front of Sejong Cultural Center, there is a magnificent statue of King Sejong the Great, 6.2m high, and in the front of him is a statue of General Lee Soon Shin.
There are Gyeongbok Palace, Sejong Cultural Center, Sejong Street Park, Kyobo bookstore, and so on.
As it is easy to get to the City Hall Square, Cheonggyecheon Stream, and Jongno streets, many tourists from both local and abroad visit the area.
