If Bukchon is in between Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, there is Sejong Village in the west of Gyeongbokgung Palace and under Inwangsan Mountain. The name was derived from the name of the neighborhood, including the place where King Sejong was born.
It was also commonly called Seochon, but in 2011, Jongro-gu named it Sejong Village for their 61st anniversary of Tansin, King Sejong the Great.
