The Seoul highway, which was full of cars, was reborn as a park full of trees and flowers.

The overpass that connects the east and west of Seoul Station for 45 years was initially threatened with demolition due to safety issues. 
After one year and seven months of construction, it was rebuilt in May 2017 and reborn as Seoullo 7017.

The name Seoullo 7017 means’ an overpass that was built in 1970 will be reborn in 2017. It is a 17-meter-high landmark created in the 1970s, when 17 roads were reborn to honor the public in the 1970s.

As its name suggests, Seoullo 7017 has 17 walking paths connecting the cities that were disconnected, and it serves to connect vitality to the depressed area. In addition, various experience facilities, such as the tourist information center and cafe, the stage of Mokryeon, the snail theater, rose stage, and playground are available for relaxing and enjoying. It is composed of 645 circular potted plants and has 24,085 different species of trees in total.
