“Every winter, when there is a lot of snow, the neighbors tie the strings together and make a tunnel of snow along the line.

There was a time when the river froze, you would take a big rock and smash it onto the frozen river along with a hammer to hunt the winter fishes in order to feed ourselves.”

The ‘Pyeongchang Trout Festival’ is a festival where you can enjoy various winter experiences as well as enjoying the thrilling taste of trout fishing.

The trout festival, which celebrated its 11th anniversary this year, is entitled, ‘Snow and Ice, and the Winter Story with trout.’

It will be held at Odaecheon Hall from the 22nd of last month to the 25th of next month in Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do.

You can enjoy the unique experience of catching trout with your bare hands or ice fishing by breaking the ice during winter time.
