Sogeumgang was originally called Sogeumgang because it was said that the charmingly beautiful figure resembles a miniature Mount Kumgang as stated by the Joseon scholar, Yulgong. So, when you visit Mt. Kumgang in Sogeumgang, you can see the inscription ‘ Sogeumgang ‘ written by Yulgong. It is certainly interesting to see the evidence of the history itself right in front of your eyes. If you stop by Kumgan mountain and drink from the cool spring water, your tired mind and body will become energized as if you just washed up.
From Sikdangam to Guryong Waterfall, you can see beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. On the road to Noinbong Peak, you will see Seonnyeontang, a legendary fair as well as Manmulsang. They both down from above and washed themselves in this place. There are still various rare plants and animals that are hard to find even modern day in the beautiful nature.
