Tadpole noodles are named for its shape and are eaten frequently in Jeongseon, as well as other regions of Gangwon-do. There are no actual tadpoles inside the tadpole noodle.
Tadpole noodles, like buckwheat, are made after making corn into a jelly. It was named Tadpole noodle because it has short, thick sides that resemble chubby tadpoles.
After seasoning with soy sauce, and eating it with a spoon, it is an excellent dish that melts in your mouth without chewing!
